I joined as a PPS in the year 1974 and the first joining was as a Dy SP Moradabad in 1977. Have served at various posts in the Police Department, including Anti Terrorism, Intelligence, Law and Order and Law enforcement postings. Have been honored by the President Medal in the year 1993 and 2012 for exemplary service to the nation. I have the honor of getting the confidence of all subsequent governments in the State, who gave me responsibility to handle almost all the major cities of Uttar Pradesh. I retired as IG Police Railways Lucknow in 2013. In the course of my 39 service with the Police Department I have the recognition of being an honest officer who has never taken sides. Have been Official Sportsman of the Police and Home Department during the service. I have won many medals for our Department in shooting. I am still a member of All India Rifle Club.

Inspite of my busy schedule and hectic duties, I opened a school by the name of DAAN BAHADUR SINGH INTERMEDIATE COLLEGE, at a remote village Ramnagar, where there was no school in 08Kms radius. The poor girls from the backward community were unable to get education as their parents did not agree to send them so far. Today around 1000 children of all the communities are getting good education and I am proud to say that they are doing very well in the academics field. I am also the Founder member of DAAN BAHADUR SHIKSHA PRASAAR SAMITI, an NGO working for the upliftment of women. The NGO is very active in the Jaunpur rural area and is regularly conducting various educative programs related to women empowerment, water conservation and agriculture. I have the honor of writing 2 books TYOHAAR and POLICE PRABANDH, which are also in syllabus in BR Ambedkar Police Training Institute. The books are a guide to the Police Officers to manage the public during Festivals. I have also put up a Library at Ramnager village, which is equipped with over 1000 books related to philosophy, religion, literature and various current affairs books. A number of magazines and journals are subscribed, which come regularly. And I also have the honor of being associated with a number of Social and Cultural associations in the State. I did my Graduation B.Sc. from University of Allahabad and later did my Post Graduation MA in Philosophy also from University of Allahabad. To this day I am very fond of both reading and writing. I regularly play Golf, which keeps me physically and mentally agile. I am fit to take any responsible assignment offered to me.
