MCD Elections 2017 Opinion Poll: BJP supported by 34% Delhi residents, AAP to emerge second, predicts ABP News – C-Voter survey

The opinion poll for upcoming elections of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was released by ABP News-C Voter on Wednesday. The pre-poll survey found Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a position to reclaim the three wings of MCD in the forthcoming polls. 34 per cent of Delhi residents are supporting BJP in the upcoming polls, whereas, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appears to be the choice of 26 per cent of voters, the survey found. Congress is predicted to emerge as the second runner-up with support from 17 per cent of Delhi residents.
In East MCD, BJP enjoys the support of 38 per cent of residents, whereas, 21 per cent each will vote for AAP and Congress, as per the survey. In North MCD, a close fight appears between AAP and BJP, with the latter enjoying support from 35 per cent of residents, whereas, AAP appears to be the choice of 31 per cent of voters, the survey predicts. In South MCD, 34 per cent support BJP, 26 per cent support AAP, and only 17 per cent are in favour of the Congress.

The MCD elections in the national capital are slated for April 23. All the 272 wards in the three wings of MCD – North, South and East – would be contested in a single phase. The results of the elections would be declared on April 26.
